Fiberglass 2X4's Are Stronger Than Wood or Concrete Block
Automated Factory Construction Speeds Rebuilding
Wood, Steel And Concrete Block Construction Is Labor Intensive
And More Expensive
http://www.CBS-Homes.com/
CBS Homes replaces
81,000 pounds of concrete block and steel or 21,000 pounds of
wood with 1,200 pounds of Advanced Construction Composite 2x4s and
assembles the parts into exterior support wall panels in a
factory. CBS trained crews erect panels as a house shell
(subcontract service to builders). The interim plant produces
30 homes each day and the large plant 300 homes each day. Any
plan or building design can be made in panels up to 40 feet
long. Parts to make building shells for 9 homes can be
shipped for on-site panelization and erection in one truck.
A crew of 5 transports and erects the exterior
support walls with a crane and adds the roof in one day. One
2,000 square foot house can be built in 48 minutes on the
production line or in 2 hours on-site using local labor. The
builder's crews then finish the interior and exterior trim
using their current methods, tools, and materials. Integration
of panels made with Advanced Construction Composite skeletons is
seamless, convenient, and lower cost.
There are
sufficient raw materials to supply the mammoth reconstruction
of hurricane devastated areas and none of those raw materials
is currently in the construction supply stream. Green friendly
fiberglass skeleton parts are manufactured and assembled with
electric boxes, windows, doors, insulation, electrical boxes
and sheeting added according to the builder's requirements.
-
To build a plant producing 900 homes per
month (10,800 homes per year) would employ 464 new hires
in the area.
-
To build a plant producing 9,000 homes per
month (108,000 homes per year) would employ 2,179 new
hires in the area.
-
CBS Homes Florida, LLC would provide all
the training for these new employees.
